Aaron Greene

Aaron Greene is a Republic of Ireland forward born in Dublin on 2 January 1990. He began his senior career with Galway United in 2009 before moving through Bohemians, Sligo Rovers and an initial spell at Shamrock Rovers. During these early years, Greene was mainly used as a left winger or wide forward, offering pace and width. At St Patrick’s Athletic in 2014–15, he became a more regular attacking contributor and helped the club win the FAI Cup. Greene then joined Limerick in 2016, scoring 11 goals as they won the First Division title and developing into a central forward. Returning to Shamrock Rovers in 2018, he has combined pressing, intelligent movement and finishing with veteran leadership, helping the club win Premier Division titles; in May 2025, he scored his 100th League of Ireland goal against Sligo Rovers.
