Archie James Francis Gray

Archie James Francis Gray is an English right-back who can also operate in midfield and across the back line. Born in Durham on 12 March 2006, Gray joined Leeds United’s academy at Under-9 level and progressed through the club’s youth teams. He made his professional debut against Cardiff City on 6 August 2023, establishing himself in Leeds’ senior side during the 2023–24 Championship campaign. Although developed as a midfielder, he frequently played at right-back, making 52 appearances and earning the EFL Championship Young Player of the Season and Apprentice of the Season awards. Gray moved from Leeds to Tottenham in July 2024 and made his Spurs debut against Leicester City on 19 August. He has since provided defensive cover at right-back, left-back and centre-back while retaining his ability to contribute in midfield. Internationally, Gray has represented England from Under-16 to Under-21 level, scoring on his Under-21 debut and helping England win the 2025 European Under-21 Championship.
