Aníbal Casis Godoy Lemus

Aníbal Casis Godoy Lemus is a Panamanian defensive midfielder born in Ciudad de Panamá on 10 February 1990. He developed with Chepo FC and began his senior career there before a 2012 loan to Godoy Cruz in Argentina. In 2013, Godoy moved to Budapest Honvéd, gaining European experience before joining the San Jose Earthquakes in 2015. With San Jose, he became a reliable deep midfielder noted for accurate distribution and ball retention. Godoy later played for Nashville SC from 2020 through 2024, continuing his transition from a mobile central role into a specialist No. 6. Internationally, he represented Panama at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, started all three of the country's matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and became the national team's all-time appearance leader. He subsequently joined San Diego FC, where Godoy remains part of the club's midfield group.
