Adam Glenny

Adam Glenny is a Northern Irish defender who developed through the Dungannon United Youth academy. Joining at 14, he progressed as a left-sided player before making his senior breakthrough with Dungannon Swifts in late 2020. He entered the squad as a late replacement against Cliftonville and helped Dungannon win 2-1, a display that preceded his first professional contract in January 2021. In 2022/23, Glenny joined Annagh United on loan in the NIFL Championship, becoming an important player during their third-place campaign. He returned to Dungannon for the following seasons and featured in every league match during their 2024/25 campaign, when the Swifts achieved a joint-best fourth-place finish. Glenny has primarily operated at left-back, while also contributing from midfield or in a back three. His left-footed delivery and progressive carrying support build-up play, complemented by disciplined defensive positioning.
