Carl Michael Adrian Edqvist
Carl Michael Adrian Edqvist is a Swedish midfielder who can also operate in advanced wide areas. He began playing with Nättraby GoIF before moving with his family to Spain, where he developed in AD Las Lagunas’s youth system from 2006 to 2012. After returning to Sweden, Edqvist joined Malmö FF in 2015 and later trialled with Stoke City. He signed for Kalmar FF in 2017, making his Allsvenskan debut during his early senior development. A loan to Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles in 2019–20 gave him experience in the Eerste Divisie. Edqvist then established himself in Sweden’s Superettan with Jönköpings Södra from 2021 to 2022 and Gefle IF from 2023 to 2024. At Gefle and subsequently Östersunds FK, he increasingly combined midfield link play, forward passing and wide movement.
