Andrias Edmundsson
Andrias Edmundsson is a Faroese defender born in Toftir on 18 December 2000. He began at B68 Toftir and moved to Sunderland’s youth academy in September 2017, developing in the club’s under-18 and under-23 sides before leaving in 2020. Edmundsson then joined Águilas FC in Spain, spending three years gaining senior experience in the fourth tier. In July 2023, he moved to Chojniczanka Chojnice in Poland, where a full season of senior football marked an important step in his progression. His performances earned a 2024 transfer to Wisła Płock, and he helped the club win promotion to the Ekstraklasa before moving to Hellas Verona in February 2026. Standing 1.93 metres, Andrias Edmundsson brings height to aerial duels, reads passes for interceptions and favours clearances and long distribution from central defence; he has also represented the Faroe Islands.
