Alex Raymond Douglas

Alex Raymond Douglas is a Swedish defender born in Stockholm on 17 August 2001. He developed in the youth systems of IF Brommapojkarna and Hammarby before moving to Spain’s San Roque de Lepe in 2019. After returning to Sweden, Douglas played for FC Stockholm and Hammarby Talang FF, then joined Västerås SK in March 2022. At Västerås, he became an important part of the side that won the 2023 Superettan title and secured promotion to the Allsvenskan. His performances in the 2024 Allsvenskan season attracted interest from abroad, leading to a move to Lech Poznań. Standing 190 centimetres tall, Douglas is primarily a centre-back whose game combines physical defending with composed distribution from the back. He was called into Sweden’s senior setup in September 2024 and made his debut in a 3–1 Nations League victory over Azerbaijan, while continuing his career with Lech Poznań.
