Alberto Dossena

Alberto Dossena is an Italian defender, born in Brescia on 13 October 1998, who plays primarily at centre-back. A right-footed player standing 1.95 metres, he developed in Atalanta’s youth system without making a senior appearance for the club. Dossena began his professional career with Perugia in Serie B in 2017 and later gained experience with Siena, Pistoiese and Alessandria in Serie C. He moved to Avellino in 2020, where he established himself as a regular defender and made 56 league appearances, scoring three goals. In August 2022, Cagliari signed Dossena, and he helped the club win promotion to Serie A through the 2022–23 play-offs. During Cagliari’s 2023–24 top-flight campaign, he made 35 appearances as the side retained its place in the division. Dossena joined Como in June 2024, continuing a career built on aerial defending, physical presence and experience across Italy’s professional leagues.
