Asen Petrov Donchev

Asen Petrov Donchev is a Bulgarian right-back who can also operate in wider attacking roles. Born on 22 October 2001, he developed at the Litex academy before joining CSKA Sofia in 2016. Donchev progressed through CSKA’s youth teams and made his senior debut in April 2021, entering as a substitute in a 6–1 win over Montana. He scored his first recorded senior goal in July 2022, deciding a 1–0 match against Cherno More Varna. In 2023–24, CSKA sent him on loan to OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad, where he gained regular top-flight experience. Donchev moved permanently to Cherno More Varna in July 2024 and has featured in the club’s UEFA Conference League qualifying campaigns. He has also represented Bulgaria at under-18, under-19 and under-21 level, while his pace and crossing support his work on the right flank.
