Áron Csongvai

Áron Csongvai is a Hungarian defender born on 31 October 2000. He developed in Budapest before progressing through Újpest, where he rose through the club’s ranks and became captain. In February 2023, Csongvai moved to Fehérvár FC, continuing his career in Hungary’s top flight. At Fehérvár, he was used as a versatile player, contributing from deeper defensive and midfield positions across 59 appearances. His positional development has taken him from an attacking-midfield role toward duties as a holding midfielder or ball-playing centre-back, where he helps protect the defence and begin attacks. Csongvai has also been involved with Hungary, receiving senior squad call-ups and making limited appearances. He is currently listed with Saint Etienne, adding a new chapter to a career built on defensive flexibility and leadership.
