Alexis Claude-Maurice
Alexis Claude-Maurice is a French midfielder born on 6 June 1998 in Noisy-le-Grand. He developed at FC Lorient and broke through during the 2018–19 Ligue 2 season, registering 14 goals and four assists in 35 appearances. His form earned him a place in the Ligue 2 Team of the Year and a move to Nice in August 2019. At Nice, Claude-Maurice gained top-flight and Europa League experience before a broken leg in May 2021 interrupted his progress. He later joined Lens on loan for the 2022–23 season, contributing as an attacking midfielder in their high-pressing system and scoring against Paris Saint-Germain in a 3–1 win. In August 2024, he moved to FC Augsburg on a free transfer, continuing his career in Germany. Claude-Maurice has developed from a wide attacker into a more central playmaker, valued for linking midfield with the forwards, progressing the ball and finding spaces between defensive lines.
