Alexandru Cicâldău
Alexandru Cicâldău is a Romanian attacking midfielder born in Medgidia on 8 July 1997. He developed at Marcon Star Medgidia before joining the Gheorghe Hagi Academy, the youth system associated with Viitorul Constanța. Cicâldău made his Liga I debut for Viitorul in March 2016 and helped the club win the 2016–17 league title. In 2018, he moved to Universitatea Craiova, where he became an important creative presence and wore the number 10 shirt. His performances earned a transfer to Galatasaray in 2021, followed by loan spells with Ittihad Kalba and Konyaspor. At international level, Cicâldău represented Romania Under-21 at the 2019 European Championship, when the team reached the semi-finals, and he has also been involved with the senior side. He returned to Universitatea Craiova in 2024, continuing his career as a technically oriented midfielder.
