Andreas Bødtker Christensen
Andreas Bødtker Christensen is a Danish centre-back born in Lillerød on 10 April 1996. He developed in Denmark before joining Chelsea in 2012, making his professional debut for the London club in 2014. Christensen then spent 2015–2017 on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where regular Bundesliga football accelerated his development. He returned to Chelsea and became an important defender, helping the side win the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final against Manchester City. In July 2022, Christensen moved to Barcelona on a free transfer. At Barcelona, he has operated mainly at centre-back and also taken on a defensive midfield role, contributing to build-up play through composed passing and positional discipline. Christensen has represented Denmark since 2018, bringing composed distribution and anticipation to international football.
