Antonijs Černomordijs
Antonijs Černomordijs is a Latvian centre-back born in Daugavpils on 26 September 1996. He developed at BFC Daugavpils and entered the club’s senior setup in 2013, helping the side win the Latvian First League. In 2014, Černomordijs moved on loan to Lech Poznań, primarily featuring for the Polish club’s second team. He joined Riga FC in July 2016 and has since established himself as a long-serving defender for the capital side. A brief loan to Cypriot club Pafos FC in 2017 formed part of that progression. Černomordijs also represented Latvia at youth level before making his senior debut against Austria in a Euro 2020 qualifier in 2019. Standing 1.90 metres and favouring his right foot, he offers height in defensive and attacking set pieces while contributing to build-up play from centre-back.
