Alessio Daniel Castro-Montes
Alessio Daniel Castro-Montes is a Belgian defender, born in Sint-Truiden on 17 May 1997. He began at Gelmen V.V., then developed through Standard Liège and Anderlecht before returning to Sint-Truidense VV to complete his youth career. Castro-Montes started his senior career with KAS Eupen, where he established himself as a wide player capable of covering the flank. In 2019, he joined Gent and spent four seasons there, contributing as a versatile wide option while competing in domestic and European football. He moved to Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 and helped the club win the Belgian Cup in 2023/24, the Belgian Pro League in 2024/25 and a Super Cup. In 2025, Castro-Montes moved to 1. FC Köln for a new Bundesliga challenge. Used as a right midfielder, winger or wing-back, he combines crossing and forward progression with recovery work and positional awareness.
