Antonio Aldo Caracciolo

Antonio Aldo Caracciolo is an Italian centre-back born in Tempio Pausania on 30 June 1990. He developed in Inter Milan’s academy, featuring for the under-16 side in 2005–06, before moving through Pavia and joining Bari on loan in 2010. After a spell with Genoa and two loan periods at Gubbio, Caracciolo moved to Brescia in 2012 and established himself as a regular in Serie B. In August 2016, he transferred to Hellas Verona despite the rivalry between the clubs and helped them win promotion to Serie A with 33 appearances. Caracciolo made his top-flight debut in a 0–0 draw with Sampdoria. He scored his first Serie A goal in Verona’s 3–0 victory over Milan and later netted the winner against Chievo in the 2018 Derby della Scala. Since joining Pisa in January 2020, he has provided experienced central defending and leadership.
