Ante Budimir

Ante Budimir is a Croatian centre-forward born in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 22 July 1991. Developed in Croatia, he broke through with Inter Zaprešić before continuing his domestic career at Lokomotiva. In 2014, Budimir moved to Germany to join St. Pauli, then continued his career in Italy with Crotone and Sampdoria. At Crotone, he scored 16 goals as the club secured promotion to Serie A, and he later returned there. He moved to Mallorca in January 2019, scoring 13 La Liga goals despite the club’s relegation. Osasuna initially signed him on loan in 2020 before making the move permanent, and Budimir became a central figure for the Pamplona club. His 190-centimetre frame, left foot and aerial strength suit his role as a target forward who links direct attacks and finishes chances in the box. He represents Croatia and was part of the team that finished third at the 2022 World Cup.
