Amine Benchaib

Amine Benchaib is a Belgian attacking midfielder born in Ghent on June 18, 1998. A right-footed player, he developed in Lokeren’s youth system and made his senior breakthrough during the 2017–18 season. He spent 2017 to 2020 with Lokeren, then moved to Charleroi after the club’s financial collapse. Benchaib joined Kortrijk in January 2022, but his spell was interrupted before he continued his career in Romania, including Farul Constanta. In 2024, he moved to Panevėžys, where he scored three goals in 12 games and helped the club through European qualifying rounds. Kauno Žalgiris signed him in January 2025, giving the playmaker another opportunity in Lithuania’s top flight. With his close-control ability and forward passing, Amine Benchaib links midfield to attack and can contribute from central or wider positions. At Kauno Žalgiris, he has continued to develop from a traditional number 10 into a more direct attacking threat.
