Altay Bayındır

Altay Bayındır is a Turkish goalkeeper born in Bursa on 14 April 1998. He began at Bursaspor and, after also spending time with Arabayatağıspor and Bursa Yolspor, developed in MKE Ankaragücü's system. At Ankaragücü, Bayındır helped the club achieve successive promotions from the TFF Second League to the Süper Lig and made his top-flight debut in a 1–1 draw with Çaykur Rizespor on 30 November 2018. Fenerbahçe signed him in July 2019, and he quickly became the club's first-choice goalkeeper before later serving as one of its captains. During his Fenerbahçe spell, he was credited with 145 appearances and won the Turkish Cup in 2023. Manchester United signed Bayındır on 1 September 2023, making him the first Turkish player to join the club; he made his debut in an FA Cup victory over Newport County in January 2024. He has also represented Türkiye internationally, while his tall frame, reflex saves and penalty-stopping have shaped his profile.
