Álvaro Martín Barreal

Álvaro Barreal attacks space from the left, dragging lines and timing runs to threaten the back post. He shifts between winger and playmaker roles. He made his pro debut for Vélez Sarsfield in 2018. That same year he helped Argentina U-20 win the COTIF tournament. A 2022–23 shift to FC Cincinnati saw him drive forward as a left wing-back and late-running playmaker, guiding the club to its first MLS Cup Playoffs. At Santos FC, Á. Barreal on loan in 2025 became the club's top scorer in Série A. Álvaro Barreal's role blends winger instinct with progressive passing, linking play and crashing the box. He presses high, turns possessions into quick finishes.
