Andrei Viorel Artean

Andrei Viorel Artean is a Romanian midfielder born in Hunedoara on 14 August 1993. He developed at FC Hunedoara before joining the Politehnica Timișoara academy in 2010 and later continuing with ACS Poli Timișoara. From 2013 to 2015, Artean gained second-tier experience with FC Caransebeș, then returned to Timișoara and made his top-flight debut against ASA Târgu Mureș. He became an established presence in midfield, combining defensive work with ball circulation and positional discipline. In 2018, he moved to Viitorul Constanța, where his role developed under Gheorghe Hagi into that of a deeper, holding midfielder involved in build-up and defensive screening. Artean won the 2018–19 Cupa României and the 2019 Supercupa before helping Farul Constanța win the 2022–23 Liga I title. He later played for Apollon Limassol and CFR Cluj, adding experience in Cyprus and Romania.
