Álvaro Anyiver Angulo Mosquera

Álvaro Anyiver Angulo Mosquera is a Colombian defender born March 6, 1997 in Tumaco. He developed in Colombia's clubs, coming through Deportivo Pasto's youth system before moving into senior football with Rionegro Águilas (Águilas Doradas) and later Atlético Nacional, where he featured in continental competition through 2024. In January 2025 he joined Argentine side Independiente, and in July 2025 he transferred to Pumas UNAM in Liga MX on a multi-year deal through 2028. He is a left-sided defender, primarily deployed as a left-back or left wing-back, and can also operate as a left midfielder or in defensive cover when required. His game is built on tenacious ground defending, decisive interceptions, and energetic flank transitions, with the left foot driving attacks and width. Standing about 1.76 m tall, he uses pace and positioning to compete in aerial situations. On the international stage, Angulo has represented Colombia, earning around four international caps during CONMEBOL qualification cycles.
