Armen Ambartsumyan

Armen Ambartsumyan is a central midfielder born in Saratov, Russia, on 11 April 1994. He developed in CSKA Moscow’s youth system and later made 104 appearances for CSKA Moscow II, although he did not make a senior league appearance for the club. Ambartsumyan began his professional career with Zenit Penza in July 2014 before joining Torpedo Armavir on loan in 2015–16. He then played for Mordovia Saransk, recording 32 appearances, and Fakel Voronezh, adding a further 30 matches before leaving Russia. In July 2018, Ambartsumyan moved to Ararat-Armenia, where he became an established central midfielder and a leadership figure. He helped the club win the Armenian Premier League in 2018/19 and 2019/20, and the Armenian Cup in 2023/24, while also featuring in European qualifiers. After representing Russia at youth level, he was called up by Armenia in 2017 and earned two senior caps.
