Albano Aleksi

Albano Aleksi is an Albanian defensive midfielder born in Fier on 10 October 1992. He began his senior career with Butrinti Sarandë, making his league debut in March 2013, before joining Luftetari Gjirokaster in 2015. At Luftetari, Aleksi helped the club’s 2015/16 promotion campaign and developed into a regular top-flight player before leaving in 2019. He then spent three seasons with Teuta Durrës, where he was part of the side that won the 2020/21 Kategoria Superiore title and subsequent Super Cup honours. A 2022 move to Tirana brought another Super Cup, adding to his domestic achievements. Since joining Egnatia Rrogozhinë in 2023, he has helped the club win the 2023/24 league-and-cup double. Aleksi’s role centres on shielding the defence, breaking up attacks and starting possession, with the versatility to operate in central midfield or cover at centre-back.
