Anel Ahmedhodžić
Anel Ahmedhodžić is a defender born in Malmö, Sweden, who developed at Malmö FF. At 16, he moved to Nottingham Forest’s academy before returning to Malmö in 2019. A loan with Hobro IK in Denmark gave him senior experience and helped refine his defensive game. After returning, Ahmedhodžić became a regular for Malmö and contributed to consecutive Allsvenskan titles in 2020 and 2021. In July 2022, he joined Sheffield United and played a central role in their promotion to the Premier League, later becoming club captain in December 2024. In August 2025, Ahmedhodžić transferred to Feyenoord. Internationally, he represented Sweden at youth level before switching allegiance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2020. His versatility allows him to operate as a right centre-back in a back four or as a wide centre-back in a back three.
