Abdelkabir Abqar
Abdelkabir Abqar is a Moroccan centre-back born in Settat on 10 March 1999. He developed at the Mohammed VI Football Academy before moving to Spain in 2017 to join Málaga’s youth system. Abqar began his senior career with Málaga’s reserves and made his first-team debut in a 2018 Copa del Rey tie against Almería. In July 2020, he joined Deportivo Alavés and initially played for the club’s B team. Promoted to the senior side for the 2022–23 season, he helped Alavés secure promotion to La Liga and made his top-flight debut against Cádiz in August 2023. He earned a Morocco call-up in 2023 and made his international debut against Angola in March 2024. In July 2025, Abqar moved to Getafe, continuing his progression as a tall, physically strong defender in Spanish football.
