When clubs finish level on points, league positions are generally separated first by goal difference, then by goals scored and then by head-to-head records, subject to the regulations in force for the relevant season. The final table therefore rewards both consistency over the full campaign and effective performance in individual matches. The club finishing first is crowned Liberia’s national champion.

The season generally runs across two calendar years.
