The checked Championship 2025 snapshot contains 556 completed matches and 1,440 goals. Those totals describe the size of the competition sample; they do not mean that every scorer has the same number of matches or minutes. The match count includes recorded final results, including matches decided after extra time or a shoot-out.

The scorer comparison uses the available top-20 goal rows. Every one of those rows has a positive recorded minute total, ranging from 1,567 to 3,451 minutes. The sample is therefore large enough to demonstrate the distinction between volume and rate, but it should not be presented as a census of every player who appeared in the competition.

The calculation is deliberately transparent: goals multiplied by 90, divided by recorded minutes. Simms produces 13 × 90 ÷ 1,567 = 0.747 when rounded to three decimals. The distance between the leaders is modest: Simms is 0.034 goals per 90 ahead of Vipotnik and 0.096 ahead of Clarke.
